COLLEGE HISTORY

Paliwal institutions has a glorious history. It started in 1945 with primary classes in a rental building. But the progress continued unhindrerd. In 1948, it got the permission to run Junior High School classes, In 1951 High school classes and in 1953 Intermediate classes. In the course of time the institution managed it's own grand building and acquired the name Pali Inter college. In 1961 the inter college got the permission of intermediate in agricultural science. The society Paliwal School Association. did this marvellous work. The founder president of the society was sh. Vijay Ram Ji Paliwal (Shikohabad) and the secretary Sh. Babu Ram Ji Paliwal (kusumara). The credit goes to the whole committee who did this holy work to educate the society of this rural area. Initially shikohabad was in mainpuri district and Firozabad in Agra district Later on in 1969 the Paliwal school Association crossed another big milestone when it established Paliwal Degree College. The parent body Paliwal school Association form another body Paliwal Degree collage management committee to run and manage the degree college. The president and management of the committee were chosen sh. Dev Dutt ji Paliwal (Agra) and sh. Navin Chand Ji Mudgal (Shikohabad), respectively. The degree college committee never saw back and did every possible efforts so as to flourish the Degree college. The cooperation of Sh. Babu Ram Ji Paliwal (Firozabad) in this regard will always be kept remembered, however, the whole management committee continued their honest offorts for the progress of the college.

The founder principal of the Paliwal Degree College was Dr. Tara Chand Ji Gupta. The collage earned enormous fame in the area of its hard discipline and good education. Later on, in 1990, after the retirement of Dr. Gupta, Dr. O.P.Singh from U.P. Higher Education Service Commission took the charge of principal and did hard work for the expansion of the collage.

In the course of time with the honest and solid efforts of Dr. Singh several new courses were introduced. The college got the approval of diploma courses PGDCP and PGDCA & OM, M.Sc. in Mathematics, M.Sc. (under self finance scheme) in Physics, chemistry, zoology, Botany and Computer science. Seed Technology, computer science and Economics were introduced as a subject at B.Sc level. The collage was accredited by NAAC with B⁺ Grade. Dr. Singh retired in 2013 and then the senior most teacher and Head Dept. of mathematics Dr. Y.C. Paliwal took the charge of Principal. The college continued its progress with its utmost dignity. After the superanuation of Dr. Paliwal on Jan. 30, 2021, Dr. R.C.. Gupta, Head, Dept. of Physic was given the charge of principal by the management committee. The progress is continued with rather faster pace, Among other things a big project, the construction of large indoor stadium, has been taken. The construction has started and is expected to completed by the end of october 2021. In the coming months our aim is to get/renew the grading, by NAAC and digitalise our central library.
